The Ottawa Police Service Wants to Improve their Response to Crimes of Violence Against Women.
Are you a woman who has experienced violence?
Have you had contact with the Ottawa Police Service because of this violent experience?
Are you 18 years of age or older?
If you answered YES to these questions, we’re very interested in hearing from you. We invite you to participate in a new study that will help the Ottawa Police Service improve their response to crimes of violence against women.
We’re hoping to hear from as many women as possible. You have the choice to participate by completing a questionnaire online, over the phone, or in person. This survey is being conducted independently of the Ottawa Police Service and local social service agencies.
To access the survey online go to http://uottawa.fluidsurveys.com/s/vawsurvey/en
If you would like to complete the survey over the telephone or in person, or if you have any questions about this study, please contact: Professor Holly Johnson, Department of Criminology, University of Ottawa, at 613-400-0340. We’ll get back to you to schedule a convenient time and place to speak.
If you prefer to meet us for an interview and you require financial assistance, we can help out with bus tickets.
The deadline for participation is January 31, 2015.
